Gartner: Weltweiter CRM-Markt wächst 2007 um 23 Prozent

Laut dem IT-Marktforschungs- und Beratungsunternehmen Gartner lagen die Umsätze im weltweiten Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Software-Markt in 2007 bei insgesamt 8,1 Milliarden US-Dollar. Das ist ein Anstieg von 23,1 Prozent gegenüber 2006 (6,6 Milliarden US-Dollar).

„Obwohl der CRM-Markt von Währungsschwankungen beeinflußt wird, zeigt er seit vier Jahren solide Ergebnisse,“, so Sharon Mertz, Research Director bei Gartner. „Vor allem aufstrebende Regionen, die anhaltende und rasche Adoption von Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) und der fortgesetzte Fokus auf Investitionen in Kundenbindungsmaßnahmen haben den Markt angetrieben.“

SAP war 2007 mit 25,4 Prozent Spitzenreiter unter den weltweiten CRM-Softwareanbietern. Danach folgt Oracle, die den zweiten Platz mit 16,3 Prozent Marktanteil verteidigen konnten. SalesForce.com und Microsoft registrierten die größten Zuwachsraten mit jeweils 49,8 Prozent beziehungsweise 88,6 Prozent.

STAMFORD, Conn., July 7, 2008 — Worldwide customer relationship management (CRM) software revenue totalled $8.1 billion in 2007, a 23.1 per cent increase from 2006 revenue of $6.6 billion, according to Gartner, Inc.

“Though currency buoyed growth, this represents the fourth year of solid market performance for CRM,” said Sharon Mertz, research director at Gartner. “The market was driven by greater contributions from emerging regions, continued rapid adoption of software as a service (SaaS), and a continued focus on investments that promote customer retention and enhance the customer experience.”

SAP was the No. 1 vendor in worldwide CRM software revenue in 2007, accounting for 25.4 per cent of the market (see Table 1). Oracle maintained the No.2 spot with 16.3 per cent of the market. SalesForce.com and Microsoft registered the highest growth rates of the top vendors with 49.8 per cent and 88.6 per cent growth, respectively.
