Gorilla Glass 2 im Samsung Galaxy S III im Einsatz
CORNING (IT-Times) - Großer Prestige-Erfolg für den weltweit führenden Hersteller von LCD-Glas Corning. Das Corning Gorilla Glas 2 kommt im neuen Galaxy S III Smartphone aus dem Hause Samsung zum Einsatz.
Corning stellte die neue Glas-Generation im Rahmen der Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas vor. Das Gorilla Glass 2 ist um 20 Prozent dünner als die Vorgängerversion, jedoch äußerst widerstandsfähig und kratzfest. Samsung hat sein Galaxy S III Smartphone mit einem 4,8-Zoll großen HD Super AMOLED Display ausgestattet. Corning führte sein Gorilla Glas erstmals in 2007 ein. Inzwischen ist das Gorilla Glas Bestandteil von 750 Modellen und in mehr als 750 Millionen Geräten weltweit im Einsatz. (ami)
