Nokia meldet 5G-Auftrag von Vodafone Hutchison Australia

Vodafone Hutchison Australia, das Breitband - Joint Venture zwischen der Vodafone Goup und Hutchison Telecommunications (Australia) Ltd., hat Nokia damit beauftragt, 5G Services in Australien auszurollen.
Das 50-50 Joint Venture Vodafone Hutchison Australia sollte zuvor mit dem Wettbewerber TPG Telecom Ltd. fusionieren, das Vorhaben wurde aber von Regulierern geblockt.
In der ersten Hälfte des Jahres 2020 soll nun der 5G Roll-out mit Nokia erfolgen. Australien hatte sich im Vorfeld gegen den Einsatz von chinesischem TK-Equipment ausgesprochen, das von Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. und der ZTE Corp. angeboten wird.
